University
of Tennessee gives highest honor to
Fayette
Academy Alum!

Catherine Cocke
“Fayette Academy will
always be my home. The support that I received here taught
me the importance of scholarship, confidence, and hard work.
I will forever be indebted to the staff and my peers from the
family of Fayette Academy.”
Catherine, a 2004 Fayette Academy
graduate, was the Valedictorian of her Senior Class, elected
homecoming queen her senior year, selected as Miss Fayette
Academy in the Who’s Who, and served as the president of her
Senior Class. She was also an active participant in the
athletic program. She was a four year starter on the
soccer team and team captain, played varsity basketball for four
years, was a cheerleader for two years, and played tennis.
Torchbearer is the
highest honor the university gives to its students.
Recognition as a Torchbearer reminds
all students that those who bear the Torch of Enlightenment
shadow themselves to give light to others.
