Please encourage your child
to read as much of this book as he/she can. You are
welcome to partner read some of the book if your child prefers.
We also suggest that as the
student reads the book, he/she should journal the main events of
the book and his/her thoughts about the book. For example,
they could write about what they like/dislike about it or what
the events remind the student of - a previous book they have
read, friends of theirs, a situation in their lives, how they
feel about entering third grade....
